Nethili meen kulumbu
Ingredients:
Nethili Fish
1 spoon mustard
1/2 methi seeds
1/2 cumin seeds
Tamarind one Lemon size
15 small onions
2 tomatoes
Curry leaves
Coconut 1 cup
Salt to taste
1 spoon Red chilli powder
3 spoon Coriander powder
1/2 Turmeric powder
Procedure:
Take a pan and pour 2 spoons of oil. Allow it to heat.
Now Add the Mustard seeds, methi seeds, cumin seeds, 10 small onions, one tomato, saute it well.
Keep it aside and allow it to cool. In the same pan. Pour oil and add the rest of the onions, tomatoes, curry leaves.
Add the Soaked Tamarind paste with all the above masalas and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes till the raw smell is cooked.
Take a Mixi jar and add all the fried masala items along with coconut and make it into a paste. Once the raw smell is gone.
Add rest of the masala and cook it for two minutes.
Finally add the fish to the gravy and cook it for two minutes.
Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves.
Nethili meen kulumbu is ready to be served .
Note: Raw mangoes and drumstick can be added along with this for extra taste.
